Remembering October 7th

Three years ago today, lives were shattered.

Today, I remember those who were killed on October 7, 2023. I remember those who were taken hostage, those who survived, and those who still carry the wounds of that day.

I remember, too, the families whose lives were divided into before and after – parents, children, partners, siblings and friends who continue to mourn the people they loved.

There are moments when words are inadequate. This is one of them.

So today, I simply remember.

May the memory of those who died be a blessing.
May those who mourn be held in love.
May those who survived find healing.
And may there come a day when no family, Israeli or Palestinian, must add another name to the list of those they grieve.
