Read John 4:5-42 with your family.
This week we meet a woman at a well. She isn’t famous, and we don’t even know her name, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t important! Jesus talks with her in a way that surprises everyone: he listens, asks questions, and invites her into something bigger than she’s seen before.
One thing we can learn from her story is about water and how it moves. Just like a spring or a river, God’s life and love are meant to flow, not sit still. Sometimes we try to keep everything in our own little jars, our rules, our plans, our ideas of who’s “good” or “bad.” But God invites us to leave our jars at the well, drink deeply, and then let that life move through us to others.
So this week, notice the ways God’s love can flow in your life – maybe in a kind word, a helping hand, or just noticing the people around you. Living water doesn’t stay in one place. And neither should we.
