Week Two: Learning and Living the Faith

Acts 4 gives us additional glimpses into the first communities of Christian believers in Jerusalem. Other letters and documents written around that time and later give us insight into how communities grew, how they worked and learned together, and what was expected of new converts to early Christianity.

This week we are looking at the catechumen process, and learning faith within community. The first believers did not give scrolls to seekers and tell them to figure it out themselves, they walked together for months – sometimes years – helping each other grow in faith.

After looking to see how it was once done, perhaps we can gain some wisdom around how it can be done today.
