Read Matthew 9:35 – 10:23 with your family.
In this story, Jesus looked at the people around Him and saw that they were tired, worried, and struggling. Some people were sick. Some were sad. Some felt lost and alone. Jesus didn’t turn away from them. He cared about them with a loving heart, and He wanted His friends to help others too.
Sometimes we feel tired or worried ourselves. Maybe we have a hard day at school, feel grumpy, or just want to be left alone. But even when we are tired, we can still do small kind things for other people. We can smile, help someone, share, or say encouraging words.
Jesus sent His disciples out to care for people, heal hurts, and share God’s love. He showed them that helping others is not just for perfect days. We can still bring kindness and hope, even when life feels hard.
When we care for others, we are living the way Jesus asked us to live. Small acts of love matter. A gentle word, a helping hand, or sitting with someone who is lonely can remind people that they are not forgotten – and that God loves them very much.
